My husband and I have greatly enjoyed watching a show by Gail Vaz-Oxlade called "Til Debt Do Us Part". Gail rescues countless marriages that are almost on the rocks due to financial stress, and sends the couples on "Relationship Rescue" challenges as well. So many of her shows are extremely emotional and some are very moving to see how her "sweeping financial reforms" have turned completely "hopeless situations" around! Her money management system is described at:

We've watched some of her shows several times and loved her messages to married couples.
TIL DEBT DO US PART
"TV Host/financial expert, Gail Vaz-Oxlade has a tough, no-nonsense approach to managing money and helping couples in financial peril get on the straight and narrow." (Warning - Beware of some "colorful" language at times!)

I strongly recommend her advice and I wish that I had met her (or followed her advice years ago! She talks about good debt and bad debt. (ie. Going to university is acquiring "good debt" & investing in a house can be "good debt".)
