Yesterday, I reached my goal of flinging 1,000 items....PTL!I did 200 items/day for Monday to Thursday last week, and managed to do another 100 before the weekend. This week I flung two more bags of 50 items. (It actually works out quite nicely! You can fit approximately 50 items
into a large plastic bag, to donate, if you ever wish to do this!)

I looked around my house, and feel that the "decluttering" has really cut down on having to "pick up" things. I still would like to declutter another 500 items. I plan to work in the basement next.

Using the "50 in 15" method with your laundry...........

After folding multiple loads of wash, and putting these items away, I have come to this conclusion about the 50 in 15 principle for laundry (which equals on average about one load of laundry)

1) It takes on average, 30 minutes to fold and put away 50 items.
2) If you set your timer for 15 minutes, try to fold 25 items, and put them away.
3) Set your timer for another 15 minutes, and fold 25 items and put these away.
4) If you don't have 50 items to fold and put away in 15 minutes, try to put away one load of wash in 30 minutes or less.
5) Count large items such as bed sheets, for 5 items. (My kids negotiated this one with me, since they earn money for folding wash!!) Large items take more time to fold.

This method enabled me to do 7 X 50 in 15s today!! I used a timer, and even with a few minor interruptions, I was able to get all the items folded in 3.5 hrs.!! Therefore I felt that this system was fairly accurate, since I tested it out today!!

Hoping you have some fun, folding your laundry, and "beating the timer"!!

Making Your Dreams Your Destiny

On Saturday morning, I was attending a Christian women's breakfast, and the keynote speaker was Judy Rushfeldt. She is the author of "Making Your Dreams Your Destiny", and had a profound and challenging message to the women in the audience.

Part way through the meeting, she decided to throw her latest book into the audience, and it landed right at my feet!! The gift was worth $21.99, and I am quite excited about reading it! Here is a link to the book:

"Judy Rushfeldt has been writing for 25 years.....She recently launched an online women's outreach magazine, and is on her way to reaching a goal of 500,000 visitors a month."
free online outreach magazine subscription at this link!

I thought that these links would be of great interest to you ladies, particularly the free newsletter. I have already subscribed to it, after being totally inspired and motivated after her speech! Judy speaks with great humility and respect for what the Lord has accomplished in her life, by surrendering her life in service to Him. Her messages are firmly rooted in scriptures, and all glory and honor is given to Christ alone, for the work that He is doing through this outreach!

To Him alone be praise!

"Give thanks in ALL circumstances....."

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give
thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus for you." (I Thessalonians

"A cheerful heart doeth good like medicine."
(Proverbs 17:22)

Did you know that smiling for at LEAST 10
seconds, releases those "feel good" endorphin
hormones, that lower your stress level? Reading
jokes, sharing a good laugh, etc., is good for
you and can prolong your life! Stress attacks
your body's organs, and will actually shorten
your life. So enjoy life, and don't forget to
SMILE!! :)

Accountability is a huge motivator!

Accountability is a huge motivator! Try posting your "to do" list where others can see it, as well as you. I like to post mine in the kitchen, and to the "50 in 15 Organizing Ladies" support group. If you would like to post it to this group, our website link is:

At the end of the day, we post our "ta da" list, so we can encourage and support each other.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (I Thessalonions 5:11)

My new organizational binder........

I am quite excited to tell you ladies about my new "organizational binder" that I just set up! I was recently given a cheque from my parents, for a birthday gift, so I put it towards a new leather ring binder, with a zippered closure! It is made by "Aurex Prestige", and has a 3-ring binder with a 1" ring inside. It has exterior and interior pockets, that are large enough to hold my favorite books, my pocket calendar, etc. I purchased 30 days worth of schedules, and "to do" lists, that can be inserted inside. I already had the "to do" template from Margreet, but will be able to use the binder to "brainstorm" ahead, and plan out my days with the hourly schedules. The UPC code is 58472 10237 for the binder (Model PFL-237).

The website link for this item from Aurex is:

The 8 1/2" X 11" insert pages are made by "DAYRUNNER", and are called,
"Daily Planning Pages" (#491-120BL) .

The website link for DAYRUNNER is:

Hopefully this tool will assist me in my goal of "getting organized" and "staying organized"!!
